เมื่อวันที่ 12 ธันวาคม 2566 นายเศรษฐา ทวีสิน นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้กล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษ ในพิธีเปิดการประชุมระดับผู้นำวาระครบรอบ 75 ปี ปฏิญญาสากลว่าด้วยสิทธิมนุษยชน (Universal Declaration of Human Rights - UDHR) ถ่ายทอดสดจากทำเนียบรัฐบาลไปยังศูนย์การประชุมสหประชาชาติ นครเจนีวาและทุกภูมิภาค แสดงวิสัยทัศน์ด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนเพื่อประชาคมระหว่างประเทศตอบโจทย์ความท้าทายใหม่ในโลกปัจจุบัน

ไทยในฐานะศูนย์กลางของสำนักงานภูมิภาคของสหประชาชาติ ได้รับเชิญให้เป็น 1 ใน 3 ของผู้กล่าวในพิธีเปิดการประชุมฯ ร่วมกับประธานาธิบดีสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ซึ่งเป็นประเทศเจ้าภาพการประชุมฯ และข้าหลวงใหญ่สิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติ

On 12 December 2023, H.E. Mr. Srettha Thavisin delivered keynote remarks for the opening ceremony of the Leaders' Segment of the Commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) broadcast live from Bangkok to the high-level meeting held in Geneva, Switzerland. The Prime Minister outlined Thailand's visions on how the international community could chart a way forward to further advance human rights and address present global challenges. 

As a regional hub of the United Nations, Thailand was invited as one of the three speakers, to join the President of Switzerland and the High Commissioner for Human Rights, to deliver remarks at the opening ceremony of the said event.
