เมื่อวันที่ 16 พฤษภาคม 2568 นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาย Mark Gooding เอกอัครราชทูตสหราชอาณาจักรประจำประเทศไทย ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือในกรอบสหประชาชาติ โดยเฉพาะข้อริเริ่ม UN80 Initiative ของเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติ

ทั้งยังเห็นพ้องถึงความจำเป็นที่รัฐสมาชิกต่าง ๆ จะร่วมมือกันทำให้การดำเนินงานของสหประชาชาติมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้นเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับบริบทสถานการณ์ระหว่างประเทศที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับการดำเนินงานในกรอบคณะมนตรีสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติ และการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับสหราชอาณาจักรเพื่อสนับสนุนระบบพหุภาคีนิยมที่มีสหประชาชาติเป็นศูนย์กลาง

On 16 May 2025, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, held a discussion with H.E. Mr. Mark Gooding, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Thailand on UN-related topics. Both sides discussed key areas of cooperation in the UN framework, particularly on the UN80 Initiative proposed by the UN Secretary-General. They affirmed the importance of collective efforts by UN Member States to make the UN’s operations more effective and efficient to respond to the changing international landscape.

In addition, they also exchanged views on the work of the UN Human Rights Council and on promoting cooperation between Thailand and the United Kingdom in support of a robust multilateral system with the UN at its core.
