เมื่อวันที่ ๑๐ กันยายน ๒๕๖๙ นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนางสาว Cynthia Veliko ผู้แทนสำนักงานข้าหลวงใหญ่เพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติ (Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights: OHCHR) ประจำภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

ทั้งสองฝ่ายแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมและคุ้มครองสิทธิมนุษยชนในประเด็นต่าง ๆ ซึ่งรวมถึงระเบียบสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรีว่าด้วยการเนรเทศ พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๙ และสิทธิมนุษยชนกับสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงการคุ้มครองนักปกป้องสิทธิมนุษยชน ตลอดจนสิทธิในการชุมนุมโดยสันติ

ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับ OHCHR เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมสำหรับการนำเสนอรายงานทบทวนสถานการณ์สิทธิมนุษยชนของไทย รอบที่ ๔ ภายใต้กลไก Universal Periodic Review (UPR) ของคณะมนตรีสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติในเดือนพฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๙ ด้วย

Director-General of the Department of International Organizations Meets with OHCHR Regional Representative for Southeast Asia

On 10 September 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, met with Ms. Cynthia Veliko, Regional Representative for Southeast Asia of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

Both sides exchanged views on the promotion and protection of human rights, including the Office of the Prime Minister’s Regulation on Deportation B.E. 2569 (2026), human rights and the environment, the protection of human rights defenders, as well as the right to peaceful assembly.

The two sides also discussed cooperation between Thailand and OHCHR in preparation for Thailand’s presentation of its national report under the fourth cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism of the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) in November 2026.
