เมื่อวันที่ 30 กันยายน 2569 นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาย Masatoshi Sugiura อธิบดีกรมกิจการโลก กระทรวงการต่างประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโอกาสเดินทางเยือนไทย เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นในประเด็นระหว่างประเทศที่สนใจร่วมกัน

ทั้งสองฝ่ายยินดีกับการครบรอบ 140 ปีของการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยกับญี่ปุ่นในปี 2570 และแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับ (1) การปฏิรูปสหประชาชาติและคณะมนตรีความมั่นคงแห่งสหประชาชาติเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับบริบทโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป (2) ความสำคัญของการเคารพกฎกติการะหว่างประเทศโดยมีสหประชาชาติเป็นศูนย์กลาง และ (3) ความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับญี่ปุ่นในด้านการส่งเสริมหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้า (Universal Health Coverage: UHC) รวมถึง (4) การให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรมแก่ผู้หนีภัยการสู้รบจากเมียนมา (ผภร.) ในค่ายพักพิงในไทย ซึ่งอธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศได้แสดงความขอบคุณญี่ปุ่นที่ได้ให้การสนับสนุนแก่ ผภร. ในไทยผ่านองค์การความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของญี่ปุ่น และองค์การระหว่างประเทศต่าง ๆ

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นในประเด็นความท้าทายด้านความมั่นคงในรูปแบบใหม่ เช่น การเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ความมั่นคงทางพลังงาน และปัญญาประดิษฐ์

On 30 September 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, met with Mr. Masatoshi Sugiura, Director-General for Global Issues, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, during his visit to Thailand, to exchange views on international issues of mutual interest.

Both sides welcomed the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Japan in 2027 and exchanged views on (1) the reform of the United Nations and the United Nations Security Council to reflect the changing global context (2) the importance of upholding rules-based international order with the United Nations at the center (3) Thailand-Japan cooperation in promoting Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and (4) provision of humanitarian assistance for Myanmar displaced persons (MDPs) in Thailand. In this regard, the Director-General expressed appreciation to Japan for its support for the MDPs in Thailand through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and various international organizations.

In addition, both sides also exchanged views on emerging security challenges, including climate change, energy security and artificial intelligence.
