เมื่อวันที่ ๒๙ กุมภาพันธ์ นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้พบกับ (๑) Ms. Slavica Milačić เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรมอนเตเนโกรประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา (๒) Ms. Désirée Schweitzer เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรออสเตรียประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา  (๓) Ms. Carole Lanteri เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรโมนาโกประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา และ (๔) นาย Jérôme Bonnafont เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรฝรั่งเศสประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา โดยได้หารือในประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการดำเนินงานของ HRC และแลกเปลี่ยนทัศนะในประเด็นระหว่างประเทศที่มีความสนใจร่วมกัน

              นอกจากนี้ ในวันเดียวกัน ออท. คผท. ณ นครเจนีวาได้เป็นเจ้าภาพงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำในโอกาสผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีฯ พบหารือกับ (๑) Ms. Lamia Fathi Abusedra เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรลิเบีย ประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นคร เจนีวา (๒) Ms. Patricia Ann Hermanns เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรบาฮามาสประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นคร เจนีวา (๓) นาย Simataa Lennon Limbo หัวหน้าแผนกการบริการกฎหมาย กระทรวงยุติธรรม นามิเบีย (๔) Ms. Carmen Inés Ávila Ortega เอกอัครราชทูต รองผู้แทนถาวรปานามาประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา และ (๕) Ms. Nolwazi Temasiko Dlamini อุปทูตรองผู้แทนถาวรเอสวาตินีประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา โดยผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีฯ ได้นำเสนอวิสัยทัศน์ของไทยต่อการส่งเสริมให้การทำงานของ HRC มีประสิทธิภาพ น่าเชื่อถือ และเกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดต่อประชาชน และย้ำความพร้อมของไทยในการทำงานร่วมกับ ทุกประเทศและทุกภาคส่วนเพื่อขับเคลื่อนงานของ HRC

                On 29 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs had bilateral meetings with (1) H.E. Ms. Slavica Milačić, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Montenegro to the United Nations in Geneva (2) H.E. Ms. Désirée Schweitzer, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Austria to the United Nations in Geneva (3) H.E. Ms. Carole Lanteri, Ambassador and Rermanent Representative of Monaco to the United Nations in Geneva and (4) H.E. Mr. Jérôme Bonnafont, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations in Geneva, to discuss issues related to the work of the HRC and exchange views on international issues of mutual interest.

                On the same day, the Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Geneva hosted a working dinner on the occasion of the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs meeting with (1) H.E. Ms. Lamia Fathi Abusedra, Ambassador and Permanent representative of Libya to the United Nations in Geneva (2) Ms. Patricia Ann Hermanns, Ambassador and Permanent representative of Bahamas to the United Nations in Geneva (3) H.E. Mr. Simataa Lennon Limbo, Chief of Legal Services, Ministry of Justice of Namibia (4) H.E. Ms. Carmen Inés Ávila Ortega, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent representative of Panama to the United Nations in Geneva and (5) Ms. Nolwazi Temasiko Dlamini, Acting Deputy Permanent Representative of Eswatini to the United Nations in Geneva. The Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs presented Thailand’s candidature to the HRC and shared visions of Thailand in enhancing the effectiveness and credibility of the HRC with a view to maximizing the impact of HRC's work on people's lives and reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to work with all countries and stakeholders to advance the HRC.
