เมื่อวันที่ 16 ตุลาคม 2024 นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศให้การต้อนรับและหารือกับนางสาว Niamh Collier-Smith ผู้แทนโครงการพัฒนาแห่งสหประชาชาติ (United Nations Development Programme: UNDP) ประจำประเทศไทยในโอกาสที่ผู้แทน UNDP เข้ารับหน้าที่
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมและต่อยอดความร่วมมือไทย - UNDP ในหลากหลายมิติ เพื่อส่งเสริมการดำเนินการตามเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs) โดยเฉพาะการดำเนินงานตามแผนงาน Country Program Document (CPD) ระหว่างไทยกับ UNDP อาทิ การเปลี่ยนผ่านสีเขียว การพัฒนาทุนมนุษย์ รวมไปถึงการขับเคลื่อนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในระดับท้องถิ่น โดยผู้แทน UNDP ประจำประเทศไทยได้ชื่นชมความสำเร็จของการดำเนินงานห้องปฏิบัติการนโยบาย (Thailand Policy Lab) ระหว่างไทยกับ UNDP และพร้อมขยายความร่วมมือในสาขาอื่น ๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนประเทศไทยให้บรรลุ SDGs ต่อไป
On 16 October 2024, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, welcomed and discussed with Ms. Niamh Collier-Smith, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Thailand, on the occasion of her assumption of duty.
Both sides discussed ways to enhance Thailand-UNDP cooperation in various areas to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially through the UNDP Country Programme Document (CPD) 2022-2026 for Thailand. Focused areas include green transition, human development, and SDG localization. The UNDP Resident Representative in Thailand also commended the success of the Thailand Policy Lab, a joint initiative between Thailand and the UNDP, and expressed readiness to expand cooperation to support Thailand in achieving the SDGs in other priority areas.
