เมื่อวันที่ 20 มีนาคม 2569 นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พบหารือกับคณะผู้บริหารสถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชีย (Asian Institute of Technology: AIT) นำโดยพลเอก ดร. บุญสร้าง เนียมประดิษฐ์ ประธานคณะกรรมการอำนวยการสถาบันฯ
รัฐมนตรีฯ ชื่นชม AIT ในฐานะสถาบันการศึกษาระดับสูง ซึ่งได้เปิดการเรียนการสอนและผลิตบุคลากรชั้นนำที่ได้สร้างประโยชน์ให้แก่ไทยและภูมิภาคมากว่า 60 ปี และกล่าวถึงความสำคัญของการศึกษา ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาประเทศ รวมถึงสนับสนุนบทบาทของ AIT ในการมีส่วนร่วมต่อการสร้างและพัฒนาการศึกษาที่สามารถสนองต่อปัจจัยและความท้าทายต่าง ๆ ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ทั้งยังย้ำความพร้อมของกระทรวงฯ ที่จะสานต่อความร่วมมือกับ AIT ในด้านต่าง ๆ โดยเฉพาะการขยายและการต่อยอดการศึกษาไปสู่ระดับภูมิภาค เพื่อให้เกิดการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนและการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ระหว่างกัน
On 20 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with executives of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) led by General Dr. Boonsrang Niumpradit, Chairperson of the AIT Board of Trustees.
The Foreign Minister commended AIT as a leading higher education institution that has, for over six decades, provided quality education and produced distinguished professionals who have contributed significantly to Thailand and the region. He underscored the vital role of education as a key driver of national development and expressed support for AIT’s continued role in advancing education systems that effectively respond to evolving needs and challenges. He also reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to further strengthen cooperation with AIT across various areas, particularly in expanding and enhancing educational collaboration at the regional level, with a view to promoting sustainable development and the continued exchange of knowledge.
