เมื่อวันที่ 29 ตุลาคม 2566 นางสาวจิตวิภา เบญจศีล ผู้อำนวยการกองการสังคม กรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ เป็นวิทยากรร่วมบรรยายในกิจกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมและส่งเสริมสิทธิเด็กและเยาวชนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศผ่านกลไก Universal Periodic Review (UPR) ซึ่งจัดโดยกรมคุ้มครองสิทธิและเสรีภาพ กระทรวงยุติธรรม ร่วมกับมูลนิธิช่วยเหลือเด็กประเทศไทย มูลนิธิเพื่อนกระเทยเพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชน และเครือข่ายองค์กรภาคประชาสังคมเพื่อสิทธิเด็กและเยาวชนที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศในประเทศไทย ณ สำนักงานมูลนิธิศุภนิมิตแห่งประเทศไทย โดยในโอกาสดังกล่าว นางสาวจิตวิภาฯ ได้บรรยายให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับพลวัตของการส่งเสริมและคุ้มครองสิทธิมนุษยชนของกลุ่มผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศในเวทีระหว่างประเทศ รวมถึงพัฒนาการของกฎหมายคู่ชีวิตและสมรสเท่าเทียมในต่างประเทศ นอกจากนี้ ยังได้ร่วมรับฟังและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นกับเด็กและเยาวชนในประเด็นต่าง ๆ อาทิ การรับรองอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศ เพศศึกษา สมรสเท่าเทียม และสิทธิมนุษยชนศึกษา

On 29 October 2023, Ms. Jitvipa Benjasil, Director of Social Division, Department of International Organizations, participated as a panelist in the participatory activity for the promotion of LGBTI+ child and youth rights through the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism. The event was co-organized by the Right and Liberties Protection Department, Ministry of Justice, together with Save the Children Foundation, Foundation of Transgender Alliance for Human Rights and a network of LGBTI+ child and youth civil society organizations in Thailand. On this occasion, Ms. Jitvipa discussed the dynamic of the promotion and protection of LGBTI+ persons’ rights in the international arena, as well as the development of laws and legislations relating to civil partnership and same-sex marriage in other countries. Ms. Jitvipa also engaged in discussion and exchange of views with participating children and youth on various issues including legal recognition of gender identity, sexuality education, marriage equality, and human rights education.
