เมื่อวันที่ 21 มี.ค. 2567 นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ ได้พบหารือกับนาง Kyungsun Kim ผู้แทนองค์การทุนเพื่อเด็กแห่งสหประชาชาติ (United Nations Children’s Fund: UNICEF) ประเทศไทย โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือเกี่ยวกับแผนการดำเนินงานและกิจกรรมในการส่งเสริมและคุ้มครองสิทธิเด็กในบริบทต่าง ๆ รวมถึงเด็กโยกย้ายถิ่นฐานและเด็กไร้รัฐไร้สัญชาติบริเวณชายแดนไทยกับประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน และการส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมของเด็กและเยาวชนในเวทีระหว่างประเทศ นอกจากนี้ นาง Kim ได้กล่าวถึงประเด็นที่ยูนิเซฟให้ความสำคัญ ซึ่งรวมถึง การดำเนินชีวิตอย่างมีสุขภาพที่ดี การยุติความรุนแรงต่อเด็ก การดูแลเด็กปฐมวัย และการมีส่วนร่วมและการรับมือกับผลกระทบต่อเด็กจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ โดยนางสาวพินทุ์สุดาฯ ย้ำว่ากระทรวงการต่างประเทศพร้อมดำเนินความร่วมมืออย่างสร้างสรรค์กับยูนิเซฟเพื่อขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินงานด้านเด็กและเยาวชนต่อไป

                On 21 March 2024, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, met with Ms. Kyungsun Kim, UNICEF Representative for Thailand. Both sides discussed work plans and activities on promoting and protecting child rights, including for migrant and stateless children in border areas between Thailand and neighbouring countries, as well as enhancing the role of children and youth in international fora. Ms. Kim also shared UNICEF’s advocacy priorities, including promoting children’s healthy lifestyle, ending violence against children, investing in childcare services, and children and climate change. In this regard, Ms. Jayanama reiterated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commitment to continue constructive cooperation with UNICEF in driving forward the child and youth agenda.
