เมื่อวันที่ 26 กันยายน 2567 นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ กล่าวถ้อยแถลงไทยในการประชุม High-level Meeting on International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons ในห้วงของการประชุมสมัชชาสหประชาชาติครั้งที่ 79 (UNGA79) ที่นครนิวยอร์ก สหรัฐอเมริกา

ในโอกาสนี้ อธิบดีฯ ได้ย้ำคำมั่นของไทยต่อการลดและไม่แพร่ขยายอาวุธนิวเคลียร์และสนับสนุนการปฏิบัติตามพันธกรณีสนธิสัญญาไม่แพร่ขยายอาวุธนิวเคลียร์ (Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons -NPT) ซึ่งเป็นเสาหลักของการดำเนินการเพื่อนำไปสู่โลกที่ปราศจากอาวุธนิวเคลียร์ และ ตราสารระหว่างประเทศที่เกี่ยวข้อง เช่น สนธิสัญญาห้ามอาวุธนิวเคลียร์ (Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons -TPNW) และ สนธิสัญญาเขตปลอดอาวุธนิวเคลียร์ในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Treaty on the Southeast Asia Nuclear -Weapons-Free Zone - SEANWFZ) รวมถึงการสนับสนุนการหารือเพื่อรับมือกับความท้าทายที่เกิดขึ้นจากเทคโนโลยีใหม่ ซึ่งรวมถึง ปัญญาประดิษฐ์

On 26 September 2024, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand delivered remarks at the High-level Meeting to Commemorate and Promote the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons during the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79) in New York.

On this occasion, the Director-General reaffirmed Thailand's commitment in nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation and the implementation of relevant instruments, such as the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and Southeast Asia Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone Treaty (SEANWFZ) as well as its support in addressing challenges posed by emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
