เมื่อวันที่ 27 กันยายน 2567 นายพืชภพ มงคลนาวิน รองอธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ ร่วมกล่าวถ้อยแถลงของไทยในการประชุม United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Group of Friends High-level Meeting ในห้วงของการประชุมสมัชชาสหประชาชาติ ครั้งที่ 79 (UNGA79) ที่นครนิวยอร์ก

ในโอกาสนี้ รองอธิบดีฯ ได้เน้นย้ำความมุ่งมั่นของไทยในการยอมรับความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมและศาสนา โดยให้ตัวอย่างถึงรัฐธรรมนูญของไทยที่รับรองสิทธิและเสรีภาพทางศาสนา และแผนปฏิบัติการด้านการส่งเสริมการอยู่ร่วมกันภายใต้สังคมพหุวัฒนธรรมในประเทศไทย ระหว่างปี 2566 - 2570 ที่ป้องกันการถูกเลือกปฏิบัติบนพื้นฐานทางวัฒนธรรมหรือศาสนา นอกจากนี้ ไทยได้ให้คำมั่นที่จะสนับสนุนการทำงานของ UNAOC ในการส่งเสริมการสนทนาระหว่างวัฒนธรรมและศาสนา โดยพร้อมที่จะเข้าร่วมการประชุม UNAOC Global Forum ครั้งที่ 10 ที่จะจัดขึ้นในเดือนพฤศจิกายน ที่โปรตุเกส เพื่อร่วมสร้างโลกที่สงบสุขและให้ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมมากยิ่งขึ้น

On 27 September 2024, Mr. Phuchphop Mongkolnawin, Deputy Director-General, International Organizations Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, delivered a statement at the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Group of Friends High-level Meeting during the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79) in New York.

On this occasion, the Deputy Director-General reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to embracing cultural and religious diversity. He highlighted Thailand’s Constitution, which guarantees religious freedom, as well as the National Action Plan for Promoting Peaceful Coexistence in a Multicultural Society for 2023–2027, which ensures that no one, regardless of their cultural or religious backgrounds, faces any discrimination. Additionally, Thailand pledged support for UNAOC’s work in promoting intercultural and interreligious dialogue and expressed readiness to participate in the 10th UNAOC Global Forum to be held in November in Portugal, with the goal of fostering a more peaceful and inclusive world.
