เมื่อวันที่ ๑๕ กันยายน ๒๕๖๙ นางสาวแคทรียา ปทุมรส รองอธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาย Patrick Sandoval Nichols อุปทูต คณะผู้แทนสหภาพยุโรป และผู้แทนสถานเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศสมาชิกสหภาพยุโรปประจำประเทศไทย

ทั้งสองฝ่ายแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับประเด็นสิทธิมนุษยชนที่จะมีการหารือในการประชุมคณะมนตรีสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติ (Human Rights Council: HRC) สมัยที่ ๖๓ โดยรองอธิบดีย้ำความมุ่งมั่นของไทยในการส่งเสริมและคุ้มครองสิทธิมนุษยชน รวมถึงการแก้ไขปัญหาผ่านการหารือและความร่วมมือที่สร้างสรรค์ในกรอบพหุภาคี

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับสหภาพยุโรปในช่วงการประชุมสมัชชาสหประชาชาติ สมัยที่ ๘๑ รวมถึงความร่วมมือเรื่องการบรรเทาปัญหาและการปรับตัวต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ผ่านการส่งเสริมการเงินเพื่อสภาพภูมิอากาศ การเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถ และการถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยี

Deputy Director-General of International Organizations Department Meets with Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union Delegation and Representatives of the Embassies of the EU Member States in Thailand

On 15 September 2026, Ms. Cataleya Phatoomros, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, met with Mr. Patrick Sandoval Nichols, Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union Delegation, and representatives of the Embassies of the EU Member States in Thailand.

The two sides exchanged views on human rights issues to be discussed at the
63rd Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC). The Deputy Director-General reiterated Thailand’s commitment to promoting and protecting human rights, as well as addressing challenges through constructive dialogue and cooperation within the multilateral framework.

Both sides also discussed cooperation between Thailand and the EU during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81), as well as collaboration on climate change mitigation and adaptation through promoting climate finance, capacity building, and technology transfer.
