เมื่อวันที่ 26 กันยายน 2566 กรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พร้อมผู้แทนหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ได้แก่ สำนักงานสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติ กระทรวงมหาดไทย กระทรวงยุติธรรม กระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ เดินทางไปศึกษาดูงานที่บ้านพักเด็กและครอบครัว จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี

                 โดยได้พบหารือกับผู้แทนหน่วยงานในจังหวัด ได้แก่ หัวหน้าบ้านพักเด็กและครอบครัว สารวัตรประจำตรวจคนเข้าเมือง จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี โดยได้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับการดำเนินการตามบันทึกความเข้าใจการกำหนดมาตรการและแนวทางแทนการกักตัวเด็กไว้ในสถานกักตัวคนต่างด้าวฯ รวมถึงการดูแลคุ้มครองผู้เสียหายจากการค้ามนุษย์ และแนวโน้มการโยกย้ายถิ่นฐานในพื้นที่ ซึ่งในโอกาสดังกล่าว ผู้แทนกองการสังคม กรมองค์การะหว่างประเทศ พร้อมคณะได้มอบสิ่งของ เครื่องอุปโภคบริโภคที่จำเป็น และเครื่องเขียน ให้แก่บ้านพักเด็กและครอบครัวฯ เพื่อใช้ประโยชน์และจัดสรรให้กับเด็ก ๆ ที่อยู่ความดูแลต่อไปด้วย

                 On 26 September 2023, Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand together with representatives from relevant Thai agencies including National Security Council, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Social Development and Human Security participated in a study visit to Kanchanaburi and met with relevant agencies, including the Shelter for Children and Families and the Provincial Immigration Office. The group discussed the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Determination of Measures and Approaches Alternative to Detention of Children in Immigration Detention Centers, the efforts to protect victims of trafficking in persons, and the trend of irregular migration in the area. On this occasion, a representative from Social Division, Department of International Organizations together with the delegation donated essential consumer goods and stationary for children under the care of the Shelter.
