เมื่อวันที่ ๕ กันยายน ๒๕๖๘ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศร่วมกับคณะกรรมาธิการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งสหประชาชาติสำหรับเอเชียและแปซิฟิก (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific: UNESCAP) จัดงานเสวนา “UN Procurement 101: คู่มือธุรกิจไทยสู่ตลาดโลก” ณ โรงแรมอีสติน แกรนด์ พญาไท กรุงเทพมหานคร เนื่องในโอกาสการครบรอบ ๑๕๐ ปีการสถาปนากระทรวงการต่างประเทศและวาระการครบรอบ ๘๐ ปี การก่อตั้งสหประชาชาติ โดยมีนายพืชภพ มงคลนาวิน
รองอธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ และคุณ Stephen Cooper รักษาการผู้อำนวยการ Division of Administration ร่วมกล่าวเปิดงาน

งานเสวนาฯ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างความตระหนักรู้ให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการไทยเกี่ยวกับช่องทางและแนวทางการเข้าร่วมเป็นคู่ค้าทางธุรกิจกับหน่วยงานภายใต้องค์การสหประชาชาติ โดยเฉพาะการใช้ระบบ UNGM (United Nations Global Marketplace) ซึ่งเป็นช่องทางหลักสำหรับผู้ประกอบการในการเข้าถึงข่าวสารและประกาศเกี่ยวกับการจัดซื้อจัดจ้างสินค้าและบริการของหน่วยงานสหประชาชาติ

ในโอกาสนี้ ผู้เข้าร่วมงานซึ่งเป็นผู้ประกอบการจากหลากหลายอุตสาหกรรมของไทย ได้รับฟังข้อมูลสำคัญเกี่ยวกับระบบจัดซื้อจัดจ้างของสหประชาชาติ รวมถึงประสบการณ์ของผู้ประกอบการไทยที่ประสบความสำเร็จในการเป็นคู่ค้าของสหประชาชาติ อาทิ บริษัท เคคิว ดีเวลอปเม้นท์ จำกัด จากสาขารับเหมาก่อสร้างและตกแต่งอาคาร และบริษัท กรุงเทพคลังเอกสาร จำกัด ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการบริหารและจัดเก็บเอกสาร ซึ่งรวมถึงเอกสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานยังจัดให้มีกิจกรรม One-on-One Networking Session เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ประกอบการไทยได้นำเสนอสินค้าและบริการ พร้อมทั้งหารือกับเจ้าหน้าที่สหประชาชาติเกี่ยวกับความเป็นไปได้ในการจัดซื้อจัดจ้างสินค้าและบริการเหล่านี้ในอนาคต

On 5 September 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), organised the “UN Procurement 101: A Guide for Thai Businesses to the UN Global Market” seminar at the Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok. This event marked the occasions of the 150^th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the 80^th anniversary of the United Nations. The seminar was inaugurated by Mr. Phuchphop Mongkolnavin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, and Mr. Stephen Cooper, Acting Director of the Division of Administration, UNESCAP.

The seminar provided Thai entrepreneurs a business opportunity with the UN, particularly through the “United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM),” which is an official platform for procurement annoucements published by UN agencies.

On this occasion, participants comprising Thai entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries learned about the UN procurement system. Thai companies that have successfully become UN vendors, namely KQ Development Co., Ltd. (construction and building restoration) and Bangkok Document Center Co., Ltd. (document management and archivist), shared their experience and insight with participants. In addition, the event featured a One-on-One Networking Session, providing Thai entrepreneurs with the opportunity to meet directly with representatives from various UN agencies.
