เมื่อวันที่ ๒๙ เมษายน ๒๕๖๗ นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนางแทมมี่ ลินน์ ชาร์ป (Tammi Lynn Sharpe) ผู้แทนสำนักงานข้าหลวงใหญ่ผู้ลี้ภัยแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNHCR) ประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสที่นาง Sharpe เข้ารับหน้าที่

             ทั้งสองฝ่ายมุ่งมั่นที่จะทำงานร่วมกันอย่างใกล้ชิดเพื่อให้ความช่วยเหลือและแสวงหาทางออกที่ยั่งยืนให้แก่บุคคลผู้ต้องการความคุ้มครองกลุ่มต่าง ๆ นอกจากนี้ นาง Sharpe ยังได้แสดงความยินดีที่ไทยยกระดับการให้ความช่วยเหลือทางมนุษยธรรมแก่ชาวเมียนมาข้ามพรมแดน และแสดงความพร้อมในการสนับสนุนไทยในการแก้ไขปัญหาสภาวะไร้รัฐไร้สัญชาติอย่างต่อเนื่องต่อไป

             On 29 April 2024, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, received a courtesy call by Ms. Tammi Lynn Sharpe, Representative of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Thailand, who recently assumed the new position.

              Both sides reaffirmed their continued commitment to working closely together to assist and find durable solutions for persons in need of international protection. Ms. Sharpe also expressed appreciation for Thailand’s initiative to upscale cross-border humanitarian assistance for Myanmar and readiness to continue UNHCR’s support to the Royal Thai Government in resolving statelessness in the country.
