เมื่อวันที่ ๕ - ๖ มีนาคม ๒๕๖๙ เอกอัครราชทูตสวีเดนประจำประเทศไทยและผู้ประสานงานสหประชาชาติประจำประเทศไทย จัดโครงการ Ambassador for a Day ประจำปี ๒๕๖๙ ในโอกาสวันสตรีสากล (วันที่ ๘ มีนาคม) ด้วยความร่วมมือจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ๑๕ แห่ง หน่วยงานภายใต้สหประชาชาติ ๑๐ แห่ง และกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เพื่อสร้างความตระหนักรู้เกี่ยวกับบทบาทของสตรีในด้านการทูตและเปิดโอกาสให้เยาวชนได้เรียนรู้งานการทูตผ่านการติดตามการทำงานของเอกอัครราชทูตสตรีและผู้บริหารสตรีของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเป็นเวลาหนึ่งวัน

ผู้บริหารสตรีของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศที่เข้าร่วมโครงการ Ambassador for a Day ได้แก่ นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ นางสาวรุจิกร แสงจันทร์ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ และนางหัทยา คูสกุล อธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ โดยมีนางสาวนิชา บูรณ์เจริญ นางสาวกัลยภรณ์ จันทร์ผ่องแสง และนางสาวกรภัทร์ ดีศิริ เป็นตัวแทนเยาวชนที่ร่วมติดตามการทำงานของผู้บริหารสตรีของกระทรวงฯ ตามลำดับ

ในโอกาสนี้ เมื่อวันที่ ๖ มีนาคม ๒๕๖๙ นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ ได้กล่าวถ้อยแถลงในกิจกรรมเฉลิมฉลองวันสตรีสากลระดับภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิก ที่ศูนย์ประชุมสหประชาชาติ กรุงเทพฯ ย้ำบทบาทสำคัญของเยาวชนในการขับเคลื่อนความเท่าเทียมระหว่างเพศ พร้อมยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นของไทยในการผลักดันความเสมอภาคภายใต้กฎหมาย และการส่งเสริมการเข้าถึงกระบวนการยุติธรรมสำหรับสตรีและเด็กผู้หญิงทุกคน
ในขณะที่เมื่อวันที่ ๕ มีนาคม ๒๕๖๙ นางสาวรุจิกร แสงจันทร์ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ นางหัทยา คูสกุล อธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ และนางสาวแคทรียา ปทุมรส รองอธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ ได้เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองเพื่อเปิดตัวกิจกรรม Ambassador for a Day ประจำปี ๒๕๖๙ จัดโดยเอกอัครราชทูตเปรูประจำประเทศไทย ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตออสเตรเลียประจำประเทศไทย

On 5-6 March 2026, the Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand and the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Thailand organized the “Ambassador for a Day 2026” programme in celebration of International Women’s Day (8 March), bringing together 15 embassies, 10 United Nations entities, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. The programme aims to raise awareness on the role of women in diplomacy and provide youth with opportunities to gain first-hand experience in diplomatic work by shadowing women ambassadors and women executives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for one day.

The women executives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participating in the Ambassador for a Day programme were Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, and Ms. Hattaya Khusakul, Director-General of Department of American and South Pacific Affairs. They were shadowed by Ms. Nicha Booncharoen, Ms. Kanyaporn Chanpongsang, and Ms. Korapath Deesiri, respectively.

On this occasion, on 6 March 2026, Director-General Pinsuda delivered a statement at the Asia-Pacific Regional Commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, underscoring the important role of youth in championing gender equality while also reaffirming Thailand’s commitment to promoting equality before the law and ensuring access to justice for all women and girls.

Meanwhile, on 5 March 2026, Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, Ms. Hattaya Khusakul, Director-General of Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, and Ms. Cataleya Phatoomros, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, attended a reception hosted by the Ambassador of Peru to Thailand to launch the 2026 Ambassador for a Day programme at the Residence of the Ambassador of Australia to Thailand.
