เมื่อวันที่ 31 กรกฎาคม 2568 นางสาวแคทรียา ปทุมรส รองอธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาย Hamza Ali Malik ผู้อำนวยการด้านนโยบายเศรษฐกิจมหภาคและการระดมทุนเพื่อการพัฒนา คณะกรรมาธิการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งสหประชาชาติสำหรับเอเชียและแปซิฟิก (เอสแคป)

ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือเกี่ยวกับการเตรียมการสำหรับการประชุมคณะกรรมการด้านนโยบายเศรษฐกิจมหภาค การลดความยากจนและการระดมทุนเพื่อการพัฒนา ครั้งที่ 5 ที่จะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 19 - 21 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ณ ศูนย์การประชุมสหประชาชาติ กรุงเทพฯ โดยรองอธิบดีฯ ได้ย้ำถึงความสำคัญของบทบาทและภารกิจของคณะกรรมการฯ และแสดงความพร้อมของไทยในการมีบทบาทที่แข็งขันในการประชุม

คณะกรรมการด้านนโยบายเศรษฐกิจมหภาค การลดความยากจน และการระดมทุนเพื่อการพัฒนา เป็น 1 ใน 9 คณะกรรมการภายใต้เอสแคป จัดการประชุมทุก 2 ปี เพื่อให้ประเทศสมาชิกหารือถึงนโยบายเศรษกิจมหภาคเพื่อสนับสนุนการดำเนินการตามวาระการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ค.ศ. 2030 และการขจัดความยากจน ตลอดจนแนวทางการระดมทุนเพื่อการพัฒนา 

On 31 July 2025, Ms. Cataleya Phatoomros, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, had a discussion with Mr. Hamza Ali Malik, Director of Macroeconomic Policy and Financing for Development Division, UNESCAP.

Both sides discussed preparations for the upcoming Fifth session of the Committee on Macroeconomic Policy, Poverty Reduction, and Financing for Development, to be held during 19 - 21 November 2025 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. The Deputy Director-General emphasized the important role of the Committee and affirmed Thailand’s active participation at the meeting.

The Committee on Macroeconomic Policy, Poverty Reduction, and Financing for Development is one of nine committees of UNESCAP, which meets biennially to discuss macroeconomic policies to support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and poverty reduction as well as financing for development.
