เมื่อวันที่ 23 มิถุนายน 2569 นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาย Elkhan Rahimov หัวหน้าสำนักงานสนับสนุนกลุ่มประเทศไทย กัมพูชา สปป.ลาว และเวียดนาม สหพันธ์สภากาชาดและเสี้ยววงเดือนแดงระหว่างประเทศ (International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent: IFRC) และผู้แทน IFRC ประจำคณะกรรมการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งสหประชาชาติสำหรับเอเชียและแปซิฟิก (United Nations Economic And Social Commission For Asia And The Pacific: ESCAP) ในโอกาสที่นาย Rahimov เข้ารับตำแหน่ง
ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ สภากาชาดไทย และ IFRC ในด้านการเตรียมความพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติและกองทุนฉุกเฉินเพื่อการบรรเทาภัยพิบัติ (Disaster Response Emergency Fund: DREF) ของ IFRC ซึ่งประเทศไทยเคยเป็นทั้งผู้รับและผู้สนับสนุนกองทุนดังกล่าวในปี 2565 ตลอดจนแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเรื่องการให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรม ขณะที่นาย Rahimov กล่าวถึงภารกิจและการดำเนินงานของ IFRC ทั้งในประเทศไทยและประเทศในความดูแลของสำนักงานฯ โดยที่ผ่านมา IFRC ขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมืออย่างใกล้ชิดกับสภากาชาดไทยและสภากาชาดของประเทศต่าง ๆ ทั้งยังย้ำถึงความสำคัญของสำนักงานที่กรุงเทพฯ ในฐานะศูนย์กลางการจัดกิจกรรมระดับภูมิภาค

On 23 June 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, had discussions with Mr. Elkhan Rahimov, Head of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Delegation, Country Cluster for Thailand, Cambodia, Lao DPR, and Viet Nam, and IFRC Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of duty.
Both sides discussed possible areas of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Thai Red Cross Society, and the IFRC in disaster preparedness and the IFRC’s Disaster Response Emergency Fund (DREF), of which Thailand was a recipient and a contributor in 2022. They also exchanged views on humanitarian assistance. Mr. Rahimov outlined IFRC’s mandate and operations in both Thailand and the countries covered by the Office, noting that the IFRC has maintained close cooperation with the Thai Red Cross and respective National Societies. He underscored the strategic importance of the IFRC’s Bangkok office as a hub for regional meetings and activities.
