เมื่อวันที่ 26 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 นายเชษฐพันธ์ มากสัมพันธ์ รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะกรรมการประสานงานด้านสหประชาชาติ องค์การระหว่างประเทศอื่น ๆ และองค์การต่างประเทศ ครั้งที่ 1/2569 โดยมีผู้แทนจากส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วมกว่า 30 หน่วยงาน
ที่ประชุมรับทราบการมีส่วนร่วมของไทยในการประชุมและกิจกรรมสำคัญในช่วงสัปดาห์ผู้นำ (High-level Week) ของการประชุมสมัชชาสหประชาชาติ สมัยสามัญ ครั้งที่ 80 (UNGA80) ณ นครนิวยอร์ก เมื่อเดือนกันยายน 2568 ซึ่งนายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นหัวหน้าคณะผู้แทนไทยเข้าร่วมการประชุม ทั้งยังรับทราบผลการประชุมของคณะกรรมการหลักต่าง ๆ ของสมัชชาสหประชาชาติในช่วงการประชุมสมัยหลัก (main session) ของ UNGA80 เมื่อเดือนกันยายน - ธันวาคม 2568 ในด้าน (1) การลดอาวุธและความมั่นคงระหว่างประเทศ (2) เศรษฐกิจ การเงิน และการพัฒนา (3) สังคม มนุษยธรรม และวัฒนธรรม (4) การเมืองพิเศษและการปลดปล่อยอาณานิคม (5) การบริหารจัดการและงบประมาณ และ (6) กฎหมาย เพื่อนำไปพิจารณาปฏิบัติต่อไป
คณะกรรมการประสานงานด้านสหประชาชาติ องค์การระหว่างประเทศอื่น ๆ และองค์การต่างประเทศ แต่งตั้งขึ้นตามมติคณะรัฐมนตรีเมื่อปี 2562 ประกอบด้วยส่วนราชการที่มีภารกิจเกี่ยวข้องกับสหประชาชาติและองค์การระหว่างประเทศต่าง ๆ โดยมีปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเป็นประธานกรรมการ มีหน้าที่สำคัญ
ในการประสานนโยบายพหุภาคีและท่าทีของไทยในการประชุมระหว่างประเทศให้มีความสอดคล้อง รอบด้าน และมีเอกภาพ โดยคณะกรรมการฯ มีกำหนดประชุมปีละ 2 ครั้ง เพื่อติดตามผลการประชุมที่สำคัญของสหประชาชาติ และพิจารณาท่าทีไทยต่อประเด็นต่าง ๆ ในการประชุมสมัชชาสหประชาชาติ
On 26 February 2026, Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, chaired the first meeting of the 2026 Coordinating Committee on Issues Related to the United Nations, Other International Organizations and Foreign Organizations. In attendance were representatives from over 30 Thai government agencies.
The Committee was briefed on Thailand’s participation in key meetings and activities during the High-Level Week of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80) held in September 2025 in New York, during which H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, led the Thai delegation to attend. They also reviewed outcomes from the deliberations of the UNGA’s six main committees convened between September and December 2025, namely: (1) Disarmament and International Security; (2) Economic and Financial; (3) Social, Humanitarian and Cultural; (4) Special Political and Decolonization; (5) Administrative and Budgetary; and (6) Legal Issues, for the Committee’s further consideration and implementation.
The Coordinating Committee, established by a Cabinet resolution in 2019, is chaired by the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and comprises government agencies involved with UN and other international organizations. The Committee coordinates Thailand’s positions on multilateral issues to ensure its comprehensiveness and alignment with national interests. They meet twice a year to follow-up on important developments within the UN framework and consider Thailand’s positions for the upcoming UNGA.
