เมื่อวันที่ 20 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 นายปานปรีย์ พหิทธานุกร รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้กล่าวถ้อยแถลงเปิดการประชุม Asia - Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) ครั้งที่ 11 ที่ UNESCAP กรุงเทพฯ การประชุม APFSD เป็นเวทีการประชุมที่เปิดโอกาสให้มีการหารือแลกเปลี่ยนและระดมสมองในภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก เพื่อติดตามและทบทวนพัฒนาการของการขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินการเพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (Sustainable Development Goals -SDGs) ตามวาระการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนปี ค.ศ. 2030 (Agenda 2030) 

รองนายกรัฐมนตรีฯ ได้กล่าวว่า โดยที่เหลือเวลาอีก 6 ปี ที่ประชาคมโลกได้ตั้งเป้าหมายร่วมกันที่จะบรรลุเป้าหมาย SDGs ทั้ง 17 เป้าหมายตามวาระ Agenda 2030 แต่ดำเนินการสำเร็จเพียงร้อยละ 15 ดังนั้น ทุกฝ่ายจำเป็นต้องเร่งรัดการดำเนินการตาม SDGs อย่างเข้มข้นยิ่งขึ้น ผ่านความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ และการแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ด้านการขับเคลื่อนสู่การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนผ่านเวทีการประชุมเช่น APFSD ซึ่งความเห็นและประสบการณ์ที่ได้มีการแบ่งปันในเวทีการประชุมดังกล่าว จะนำไปสู่การหารือเชิงลึกในเวที High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2024 (HPLF 2024) ซึ่งเป็นเวที่การหารือระหว่างประเทศระดับนโยบายที่ขับเคลื่อน SDGs ที่จัดขึ้น ณ นครนิวยอร์ก 

On 20 February 2024, H.E. Dr. Parnpree Bahiddha - Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand delivered Opening Remarks at the 11th Asia - Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) at the UNESCAP Bangkok, Thailand, which is the regional forum for the discussion on the follow - up and the review of the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in line with the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development. 

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted that with 6 years remaining in the global collective efforts to achieve the 17 SDGs according to the Agenda 2030 with only 15% of efforts on track, it is necessary to accelerate the attainment of SDGs through regional cooperation leading to global efforts, such as the exchange and sharing of experiences at the APFSD , which will pave the way for further in-depth discussions at  the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable (HPLF) meeting in New York, later this year.
