เมื่อวันที่ ๑๐ เมษายน ๒๕๖๘ นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศเป็นประธาน การประชุมคณะกรรมการกํากับดูแลการจัดทํารายงานประเทศและติดตามการปฏิบัติตามข้อเสนอแนะภายใต้กลไก Universal Periodic Review (UPR) ของคณะมนตรีสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติ (Human Rights Council: HRC) ครั้งที่ ๑/๒๕๖๘ ที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ โดยมีหน่วยงานของไทยที่เป็นองค์ประกอบในคณะกรรมการฯ เข้าร่วม ที่ประชุมได้รับทราบถึงการเริ่มปฏิบัติหน้าที่สมาชิก HRC วาระปี ค.ศ. ๒๐๒๕-๒๐๒๗ ของไทย และร่วมหารือเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมบทบาทที่สร้างสรรค์ของไทยในฐานะสมาชิก HRC และพัฒนาการการปฏิบัติการตามข้อเสนอแนะและคำมั่นโดยสมัครใจของไทยที่ได้ตอบรับภายใต้กลไก UPR รอบที่ ๓ และรายงาน UPR ฉบับระยะกลางรอบ (mid-term review) ของไทย รวมถึงการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือกับกลไกสิทธิมนุษยชนภายใต้ HRC เพื่อส่งเสริมและคุ้มครองสิทธิมนุษยชนในระดับประเทศ ตลอดจนการจัดทำและการนำเสนอรายงานประเทศตามพันธกรณีภายใต้ตราสารระหว่างประเทศที่ไทยเป็นภาคี และการเตรียมการจัดทํารายงาน UPR ฉบับที่ ๔

On 10 April 2025, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of Department of International Organizations chaired the National Committee on the Implementation of Recommendations under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Mechanism under the Human Rights Council (HRC) (the National Committee on UPR) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by relevant agencies that are members of the National Committee. The Committee was informed of Thailand’s role as a new member of the HRC for the term 2025-2027, the initiatives and activities planned for 2025, as well as its cooperation with special procedures and mandate holders of the HRC. The meeting noted the progress on the implementation of accepted recommendations and voluntary pledges made during Thailand’s 3rd UPR cycle and its mid-term review, and discussed the preparation for the submission and oral presentation of national periodic reports under various United Nations Human Rights Treaties Bodies, as well as the preparation of Thailand’s 4th Cycle UPR national report.
