สถาบันการต่างประเทศเทวะวงศ์วโรปการและสถาบันเพื่อการอบรมและวิจัยแห่งสหประชาชาติ (United Nations Institute for Training and Research - UNITAR) ส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในการฝึกอบรมด้านการทูตและการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ทางวิชาการ โดยร่วมกับกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ จัดการบรรยายพิเศษ ให้แก่นักศึกษาและผู้เชี่ยวชาญภายใต้โครงการ Youth Leadership Development Prorgamme ของ UNITAR ในหัวข้อ “บทบาทของไทยในเวทีโลกสู่เป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน” เมื่อวันที่ 30 มกราคม 2567 ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ
                ในโอกาสนี้ นางจอมขวัญ ภิญโญวิทย์ ผู้อำนวยการกองกิจการเพื่อการพัฒนา พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนสถาบันการต่างประเทศฯ ให้การต้อนรับคณะฯ โดยมีนายอดิทัต ภาณุพงศ์ (เลขานุการเอก) กองกิจการเพื่อการพัฒนา กรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศบรรยายในหัวข้อต่าง ๆ ดังนี้
                (1) เป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน หรือ SDGs
                (2) บทบาทของไทยเพื่อให้บรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลก และ
                (3) ความร่วมมือของไทยกับต่างประเทศเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในระดับสากล
               โดยนักศึกษาได้สอบถามและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นกับวิทยากรในการเชื่อมโยงเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนไปปรับใช้ในบริบทต่าง ๆ ที่แตกต่างกันออกไป อาทิ การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจ การใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมสำหรับภาคธุรกิจและอุตสาหกรรม การขยายความร่วมมือเพื่อพัฒนาบุคลากรด้านการศึกษาและวัฒนธรรม ตลอดจนการต่อยอดการพัฒนาให้มีความยั่งยืนและเป็นรูปธรรมยิ่งขึ้น

                 Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) are strengthening their long-standing cooperation and deepening their partnership in the field of academic exchanges. With the cooperation of the Department of International Organizations, a special briefing session on "Thailand's Role in the Global Stage toward SDGs" was organized for the students from the Youth Leadership Development Programme under the UNITAR on 30 January 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

                  On this occasion, Ms. Chomquan Pinyowit, Director of the Development Affairs Division, and a representative from the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs welcomed the delegations, followed by the briefing session conducted by Mr. Aditat Panupong, First Secretary of the Division of Development Affairs, the Department of International Organizations.

                  The briefing session covered the issues of
                  (1) the overview of the concept of SDGs and their framework,
                  (2) Thailand's strategic role toward SDGs at the regional and global levels, and
                  (3) Thailand’s strategic partnerships in the international arena.
                  Fruitful discussions and the exchange of ideas were developed on the application of SDGs to various sectors, such as tourism for economic recovery, eco-friendly products for businesses and industrial sectors, educational and cultural cooperation in development, as well as the strategic approaches for partners to sustain SDGs achievements.
