เมื่อวันที่ 22 ธันวาคม 2566 นางเอกสิริ ปิณฑะรุจิ อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ ได้นำข้าราชการ เจ้าหน้าที่และนักศึกษาฝึกงาน ที่กรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ เยี่ยมชมโรงเรียนสอนคนตาบอด กรุงเทพฯ ภายใต้การดำเนินงานของมูลนิธิคนตาบอดแห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชินูปถัมภ์ สังกัดคณะกรรมการการศึกษาเอกชน กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ โดยได้มีนางสาวเสาวณี สุวรรณชีพ ประธานกรรมการมูลนิธิฯ กล่าวต้อนรับและได้มีการบรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับวิสัยทัศน์ พันธกิจ และการดำเนินงานของโรงเรียน

ในการเยือนดังกล่าว ผู้บริหาร ข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่กรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศได้สนับสนุนสื่อการเรียนการสอน และสิ่งของจำเป็นให้แก่โรงเรียนฯ และได้เยี่ยมชมศูนย์การเรียนรู้โรงเรียนสอนคนตาบอดกรุงเทพฯ และสังเกตการณ์การเรียนการสอนภายในโรงเรียน  ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสให้ข้าราชการ เจ้าหน้าที่และนักศึกษาฝึกงานที่กรมองค์การฯ ได้รับทราบถึงความเชื่อมโยงของภารกิจของกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ ในด้านการสนับสนุนการขับเคลื่อนสู่เป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในเป้าหมายด้านการศึกษาและความเท่าเทียม รวมทั้ง ได้สัมผัสถึงความเชื่อมโยงกับงานด้านการส่งเสริมสิทธิมนุษยชนของผู้พิการให้สามารถช่วยเหลือตนเองและเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่จะร่วมขับเคลื่อนสังคม

On 22 December 2023, Director-General Eksiri Pintaruchi, Department of International Organizations, led the staff and intern students of the Department, on a visit to the Bangkok School for the Blind, which is under the Foundation for the Blind Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen. The school is classified as a formal private school, general education type, governed by the Office of Private Education Commission, Bangkok Education 1st region, Ministry of Education of Thailand. The delegation was welcomed by Mrs. Saowanee Suwannacheep, President of the Foundation and received a briefing of the overview on the vision, objectives and the performance of the school. 

At the visit, the Department has provided the school with teaching materials and other basic necessary items to support the school's activities. The Department also visited the Learning Center of the Bangkok School for the Blind and observed the school's classes. The visit was fruitful in providing the staff of the Department with an insight in connecting the Department's work in the area of advancing Thailand towards the SDGs goals, related to education and equal opportunities, as well as in the area of human rights protection and promotion, especially in supporting the disabled persons' self-reliance and integration into society.
